Day 14

Theme: Helping the Churches in Smaller Areas and Other Towns

Scriptures:

[Acts 20:35]

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the work the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

[2 Corinthians 9:8-15]

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will be abound in every good work. As it is written:

"He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for the food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and thorough us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for generosity in sharing with them and with anyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Prayer Subjects:

1. Churches in Peninsular Malaysia to be a blessing and to release their resources to help the churches in Sabah and Sarawak

2. Uphold churches who are facing difficulties, manpower and resources in the East Coast and smaller towns.

3. The smaller churches will work together with churches in Peninsular Ma;aysia for the common goal of loving our neighbours.

Personals:

I pray that churches in the East Coast will be blessed by God and God's wisdom to be with them to overcome any sense of difficulties that occurs. Our youth mission trip will be a trip to Sibu, and I just pray that we would be of a helping hand and it will be an effective and productive outreach. In Jesus Name' AMEN.
